There Is Another Lion Who Roars

The enemy is loud. He wants you to believe that the roar you hear is the most powerful sound in the room. He wants you to freeze. He wants you to forget who you are. He wants you to believe that darkness has the final word.

But the enemy is not the only lion who roars.

The Roar of the Enemy

First Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." Notice what it says: like a roaring lion. Not the Lion. Not the real thing—a counterfeit. A mimic. A creature trying to intimidate you into submission by making himself sound bigger than he is.

The enemy's strategy has never changed. He roars, hoping you'll run. He whispers lies, hoping you'll believe them. He points to your failures, hoping you'll feel too disqualified to stand. He works through fear, shame, discouragement, and confusion—all designed to make you forget your identity and abandon your post.

The Other Lion

But there is another Lion. And His roar is not like the enemy's.

Revelation 5:5 says: "Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed." This is Jesus Christ—not a mimic, not a pretender, but the real Lion. The One who has already conquered sin, death, hell, and the grave. The One whose resurrection shook the earth and broke every chain. The One at whose name every knee will bow and every tongue confess.

When the Lion of Judah roars, the counterfeit flees.

Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. — 1 John 4:4

You Are Not a Bystander

Here is what the enemy does not want you to know: you are not a spectator in this conflict. You are a son or daughter of the Most High God. You carry the authority of the name of Jesus. You have been given access to the throne room through prayer. You have been armed with the Word of God. You have been sealed with the Holy Spirit.

You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. The battle is real, but the outcome is settled.

What to Do When the Enemy Roars

When the enemy comes at you with fear, open your mouth. Declare the Word. Pray in the Spirit. Worship out loud. Do not stay silent—because silence is what the enemy is counting on.

When darkness presses in, don't pull back. Advance. Take the ground. Speak the name of Jesus over your family, your home, your ministry, your future. He is not a symbol. He is not a concept. He is the Living Lord, and His name carries power that the enemy cannot withstand.

The enemy is roaring. But so is the Lion of Judah.

And His roar is louder. His name is greater. His victory is complete.

Stand your ground. Lift your voice. The Lion of Judah has already won.
